3 Lessons I learned by publishing Ultimate Guides on WPBeginner

Hey alluser, Recently, one of our readers asked me if publishing long-form content (ultimate guides) was worth it. The answer is… yes, it is! Long-form content helps you establish yourself as an authority, boost your reputation, and improve SEO.  Here are a few lessons I learned by publishing Ultimate Guides on WPBeginner: #1. Make it skimmable… or don't publish it Make sure your long form content is easy to skim through for your visitors. Write short paragraphs, add relevant images, and add a Table of Contents.  I use the premium AIOSEO plugin to add a Table of Contents, but if you're looking for a simple plugin, I recommend this free plugin on WordPress.org.  This plugin also lets you quickly create a sitemap of all pages and categories.  #2. Productivity hack: Compile your short articles Struggling to write long articles? You're not alone! Long articles take too much time to write. Fortunately, there is an easy way!  You can compile several short articles on the same topic into a single ultimate guide.  Every smart blogger follows this approach. It can help you boost your social media traffic to your site.  #3. Interlink your articles Just because you publish a great article doesn't always mean that it's going to rank well.  This is why I always interlink related articles with each other.
