Some people don't think SMS has a place in business, but data shows the opposite. Surveys indicate 48% of people prefer to communicate with brands via text message which is more than email, app notifications, and direct mail.

If you're not using that technology as a part of your overall communication strategy, you are missing tons of opportunities. I'd even go as far to suggest that some buyers will not do business with you if they don't see that functionality available, especially – and this is important – if you are a local, service-based, or appointment-based business.

That's just where we are as consumers today.
